Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is taught longitudinally using a series of lectures, workshops and outside speakers. Our OMT Clinic is held at our family medicine offices with supervision by our osteopathic faculty.
Our goal is to ensure competence in the use of OMT for common outpatient problems including but not limited to: Low back pain, thoracic and cervical strains, headache and hip pain.
We are affiliated with Duquesne University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. LECOM has campuses in Erie, Pennsylvania; Bradenton, Florida; Elmira, New York; and at Seton Hill University in nearby Greensburg. We offer core rotations in Family Medicine, OB/GYN, and General Surgery. Elective rotations in Family Medicine are available to interested students from all schools.
