By joining WVU Medicine, the five Independence Health System hospitals will benefit from the scale and expertise of a leading academic health system while maintaining their strong community focus. As part of this new partnership, WVU Medicine will invest $800 million in these hospitals over the next five years to expand their clinical programs and provide greater and more convenient access to specialty care to the communities they serve.
