Classes & Events

We will honor the joys, the sorrows and the strengths we have nurtured while caring for others, by creating a memorial piece that represents the past year. Collage supplies provided. an evening of relaxing creativity and storytelling. The meeting will include cookies as a sweet treat!

In this class, you will learn the benefits of breastfeeding for mom and baby, positioning tips for an effective latch, how making milk works, how to tell if baby is getting enough, and breastfeeding/pumping when returning to work. Mothers are encouraged to bring a baby doll. Pre-registration required. Your Support Person does NOT need to register.

Meet in the lobby of Westmoreland Hospital, where a staff member will greet you then take you on a tour of the maternity unit. You will be able to see the unit and ask your guide questions. Schedule as a couple.

This is a CPR class for community members that teaches Adult/Child/Infant CPR and use of an AED, appropriate for lay responders. You will NOT receive a card with this training. Class size is limited, recommended minimum age of 12, younger possibly with approval. $15 per person payable with cash or check the night of class.
