Clarion Hospital's Family Medicine Residency felt like the right fit from the moment I learned about it. Having grown up in a small town, I have always felt a strong connection to rural and community medicine and am drawn to the idea of being a physician who truly knows her patients. The program's emphasis on hands-on, autonomous training with dedicated one-on-one faculty mentorship aligns perfectly with how I learn and grow best. Beyond the clinical experience, the work-life balance, the family-friendly environment, and the natural beauty of the Pennsylvania Great Outdoors felt like a place where I could not only train, but truly thrive and build a future.

Growing up between Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and Iowa City, Iowa, I developed strong sense of adaptability, resilience, and structured, analytical mindset. Navigating different cultures from an early age deepened my compassion and strengthened my ability to connect with patients from diverse backgrounds, shaping my approach to care by balancing thoughtful clinical reasoning with empathy and patient-centered care.
I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Maranatha Christian University in Indonesia in 2012. I completed my residency training in Pediatrics at Metropolitan Medical Center in Manila, Philippines, and became a board-certified Pediatrician in 2021. I have since gained diverse clinical experience across inpatient, outpatient, emergency and intensive care settings.
I am drawn to Family Medicine because it allows me to provide continuous, lifelong care while building meaningful relationships with patients across all stages of life. Clarion Hospital’s unopposed, full-spectrum training, combined with strong one-on-one mentorship and progressive autonomy, offers an ideal environment for my growth as a well-rounded physician. I am also drawn to its supportive, community-focused setting and the opportunity to train closer to home while serving a community I am truly invested in.
