Independence Health System welcomes urologist Zafar Dalimov, MD, MS

GREENSBURG, Pa., September 21, 2026 — Independence Health System today announced that Zafar Dalimov, MD, MS, has joined the urology department.

Dr. Dalimov is a board-eligible urologist specializing in comprehensive urologic care, with a particular focus on minimally invasive and robotic surgery, urologic oncology, kidney stone disease, and the surgical management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), including holmium laser enucleation of the prostate. He completed his residency in urology at the Jefferson-Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He earned his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his Bachelor of Science from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He is a member of the American Urological Association and the North American Robotic Urology Society.
