Independence Health System honored among healthiest employers of Delaware and Pennsylvania

GREENSBURG, Pa., Sept. 22, 2026 – Independence Health System was named a 2026 Healthiest Employers of Delaware & Pennsylvania honoree, earning the No. 3 overall ranking among participating organizations.

Healthiest Employers®, a nationally recognized awards program, honors organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to employee well-being through innovative benefits, wellness initiatives and a culture that supports healthy lifestyles.

The health system’s wellness strategy is driven by strong leadership support, broad access to resources, and data-informed planning. All honorees completed the annual Healthiest Employers assessment, which uses a proprietary 1-100 scoring rubric. The assessment evaluates six key areas of organizational health and wellness, including strategy, culture, and outcomes. Each response contributes to a Healthiest Employers Index (HEI) that ranks companies within their size category.
