Westmoreland/Frick Hospital Foundation Gives Back to Connellsville Youth Program

The Westmoreland/Frick Hospital Foundation recently donated sports and outdoor equipment, sunscreen, and healthy snacks for campers at P.E. in the Park located at East Park in Connellsville. P.E. in the Park is a four week summer physical education camp that keeps kids active, builds confidence, and encourages friendship through games, fitness, and movement.

Staff had the opportunity to meet one of the camp counselors who participated in the program as a child. He shared how the experience taught him the importance of teamwork and respecting others, and he is now giving back by helping create those same meaningful experiences for the new generation of campers.

Ashley McCutcheon-Saylor directs this important summer camp program and is dedicated to harnessing the campers' exceptional energy for all of the fun activities.

Teaching children that movement is medicine is priceless!
