Independence Health System to Host Free Weight Loss Seminar for Community

GREENSBURG, PA, January 14, 2026 … Independence Health System announced a community bariatrics and weight loss surgery seminar “Why Weight?” The free event will include physician-led presentations about bariatric and weight loss options, as well as one-on-one availability with clinical dietitians with expertise in bariatric nutrition and dietetics.
Independence Health System bariatric surgeons BenFauzi El-Attrache, DO, and Mark Zelkovic, MD, will lead the informational presentations. Prior to the presentations, dietitians from Independence Health System’s just-renovated Weight Management Center — Jenna Trybus, MS, RDN, LDN, and Melissa Woodward, RDN, LDN —will be available to answer attendees’ questions. Jenna holds particular experience in nutrition education, and Melissa’s expertise is in long term care and food service industries, as well as patient support group sessions.
