Independence Health System Welcomes Family Medicine Providers to Seven Fields Location

BUTLER, Pa., April 7, 2026 – Independence Health System today announced the addition of Paul E. Lewis, MD, MPH, to its primary care office located at 300 Northpointe Circle, Suite 104, in Seven Fields. He will begin seeing patients in May 2026.
Dr. Lewis is board-certified in both family and occupational medicine and brings more than 20 years of experience as a primary care physician. His clinical focus includes preventive care, the diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, chronic disease management, preventive screenings and vaccinations, coordination of specialty care, and providing patients with education and support to promote lifelong wellness.
Dr. Lewis earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland, where he also completed a preventive medicine residency and received a Master of Public Health degree. He completed a family medicine residency with the 96th Medical Group at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. His background includes treating occupational health injuries; performing fitnessforduty and returntowork evaluations; conducting disease surveillance and medical examinations; and working in health informatics and research.
Throughout his career, Dr. Lewis has held several leadership positions, including chief of innovation and evaluation at the Defense Health Agency’s (DHA) Armed Forces Health Surveillance Division; chief medical officer for DHA Medical Logistics; and senior occupational medicine consultant and physician at Hill Air Force Base. He has also volunteered as a primary care physician at the Maliheh Free Clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah.

In addition, Independence Health System also welcomes Allison Dix, PA-C, to the Seven Fields practice. Dix earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in Pittsburgh. She is NCCPA board-certified and brings nearly 25 years of experience of caring for patients across a broad range of primary health and cardiovascular care services. Her expertise includes developing personalized treatment and follow-up plans, managing acute and chronic conditions, and ensuring seamless coordination of care.
