Independence Health System Welcomes Renee Davis, DO, to General Surgery Team at Latrobe

GREENSBURG, Pa, September 10, 2025 … Independence Health System (IHS) today announced the addition of Renee Davis, DO, to the General Surgery team at The Square at Latrobe and Latrobe Hospital. Prior to assuming her new role, Dr. Davis served as a general surgery physician assistant at Butler Memorial Hospital for two years before pursuing her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Dr. Davis earned her DO from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) and both her Master of Physician Assistant Science and Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Gannon University. She completed her residency in general surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Mercy, where she ranked first in her class. She’s a member of the UPMC Mercy Senior Academic Leadership Committee and is an Associate Fellow for the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Davis will address all general surgical needs, and her areas of particular interest are issues related to the gallbladder and colon, as well as hernias.
