Independence Health System Partners with Local Service Groups to Offer Wellness Checks to Westmoreland Community

GREENSBURG, Pa., October 10, 2025 … Independence Health System today announced that it will offer wellness checks to the Westmoreland community at Frick Hospital and The Square at Latrobe on designated days in October and November. The Wellness Checks program is a partnership with the Scottdale Kiwanis Club, Latrobe Rotary, Mount Pleasant Rotary, and the Greensburg Rotary.
The wellness checks allow for detection of heart disease, kidney disease, diabetes, thyroid disease, anemia, leukemia, liver disease, bleeding disorders, neuromuscular disease, and electrolyte imbalance. They will be offered at the following locations with corresponding dates and times:

The wellness checks are available to individuals with and without insurance. Insurance is not accepted. The 33 Panel Blood Test starts at $60 with other tests available. Physician orders are not necessary for the test.
A portion of all proceeds is returned to the community sponsors to benefit local scholarships and recreation programs.
Registration is open and required. Individuals can register at www.Independence.Health/Register or by calling the Independence Health System Care Center at 877-771-1234 and selecting option 3. Cash and checks are accepted. Checks can be made payable to the co-sponsoring organization.
