Second Annual Community Healthcare Work Ethic Award Recipients Recognized

The Westmoreland/Frick Hospital Foundation was pleased to recognize their second annual Community Healthcare Work Ethic Award recipients at Westmoreland Hospital on June 10, 2025.

The annual award was established in 2024 to recognize and reward healthcare workers employed by IHS in the Westmoreland area or Excela Health Medical Group (EHMG). Award recipients receive a check for $1,000 and a certificate of appreciation.

This year's recipients are Nicole Dionisi, BSN, a six-year veteran of Excela Health Home Care and Hospice at Independence Health System and Barry Tocco, Sr. Environmental Services Technician, with more than thirty years of service in Environmental Services.

Pictured with Nicole Dionisi and Barry Tocco are Brian Fritz, President of Westmoreland Latrobe and Frick Hospitals; Christopher Bellicini, DO, Orthopedic Surgeon; Ray Charley, President of the Westmoreland/Frick Hospital Foundation; David Lynn, Vice Chair, Westmoreland/Frick Hospital Foundation; Anthony Cancro, Chief Development Officer of IHS Foundations and Erica Shaffer, Vice President of Post Acute Services Ambulatory Strategy at IHS.

It was evident from the many family, friends and colleagues who attended the award ceremony that Nicole and Barry are deeply committed to our patient care and organizational excellence and are appreciated for their team spirit. Please join us in thanking them for their exemplary service.
