Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation Golf Outing 2025

The Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation Annual Golf Outing on June 27, 2025, at the Ligonier Country Club was a great success that brought together sponsors, volunteers and of course the players for an enjoyable day of great fun and great fundraising.

Together, we raised an estimated $110,000.00 that will benefit the expansion of Behavioral Health services at Latrobe Hospital. All proceeds will help double the capacity of our adolescent inpatient unit, strengthen our crisis response, and enhance the emergency department to better serve patients with greater dignity and efficiency.

Brian Fritz, President of Westmoreland Latrobe and Frick Hospitals, stated in his opening remarks at the event; Mental Health is a need that has long been overlooked in the healthcare community with demand only growing without being met. Independence Health System is working to change this deficiency in behavioral health care in our regional communities by expanding our capacity to serve patients and partnering with law enforcement and community agencies to ensure compassionate response to patients in crisis.
