Independence Health System Unveils Advanced Imaging Technology and Expands Specialized Care at Seven Fields Location

BUTLER, Pa., Dec. 10, 2025 -- Independence Health System unveiled its newly renovated Seven Fields outpatient services location, enhancing imaging technology and expanding specialized services to the 100 Northpoint Circle address.

At the heart of the renovation was the installation of two advanced imaging systems from Canon Medical: The Vantage Orian 1.5T MRI and an Aquilion Lightning CT Scanner. These upgrades provide clearer, more precise images and improve patient comfort with features that include a quieter, more open scanning experience. The updated technology also expands diagnostic capabilities including access to advanced MRI exams for breast and prostate imaging, as well as CT exams for lung screening, angiography, and heart calcium scoring. Together these enhancements strengthen the location’s ability to provide comprehensive care with modern solutions that support faster, more accurate diagnostics.

Renovations, which began in February 2025, were funded through the health system’s capital improvement funds and included new flooring, lighting, refurbished waiting and dressing rooms, updated restrooms, and improvements to the on-site laboratory.

In addition to the imaging upgrades, Independence Health System expanded pelvic health therapy at Seven Fields. This specialized service supports individuals with bladder and pelvic floor disorders, which involve the muscles, ligaments and connective tissues that support the bladder, uterus, colon and rectum. Conditions treated include urinary incontinence, constipation, pelvic pain and pressure, postpartum pain, and obstetrical pain, among others.

Lactation services are also now available, offering education and support to help mothers build confidence with breastfeeding. Research indicates that human breast milk is the optimal source of nutrition for the first six months of life and is recommended for at least two years, offering numerous health benefits for both mother and baby. New patients are being accepted; a referral is required for evaluation and treatment of infants.

“This latest upgrade reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality, expert care to the communities we serve,” said Matt Schnur, president of Butler Memorial and Clarion hospitals. “The combination of a modernized space and advanced imaging technology enhances comfort, efficiency and diagnostic accuracy. Expanding pelvic health therapy and lactation services also ensures our community has access to specialized, expert care, right here.”

In addition, the Seven Fields location offers Walk-in EKG, laboratory and X-ray services Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. CT scans, MRIs and ultrasounds, including obstetric ultrasounds, are available by appointment only. To schedule, call 724-284-4000.

Hospital leadership and staff marked the completion of the renovation project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house. To learn more about the services offered at Independence Health System, visit www.independence.health.
