About the Provider
Trenton M. Gause, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon with Tri Rivers Musculoskeletal Centers and sees patients in its North Hills offices. He is a member of the Hand and Upper Extremity team. He obtained his medical degree and orthopedic training at the College of Medicine and Hershey Medical Center, both at Penn State. He conducted a spine fellowship in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center. He completed additional training in upper extremity surgery and sports medicine. In 1996, Dr. Gause joined Pittsburgh-based Tri Rivers where he performs shoulder surgery, including reverse shoulder replacement, rotator cuff repair and shoulder stabilization, as well as elbow and wrist arthroscopy, including carpal tunnel release. He is a clinical assistant professor for the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine department of orthopedic surgery. Dr. Gause, who is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, has written numerous articles on orthopedic surgery techniques. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association for Hand Surgery, the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, the Pennsylvania Medical Society and Allegheny County Medical Society.
