About the Provider

Scott G. Rainey, DO, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon with Tri Rivers Musculoskeletal Centers and sees patients in its BHS Crossroads Campus and Slippery Rock offices. He is a member of the Orthopedic Back and Neck team. He attended the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at St. Joseph’s Health Center in Warren, Ohio. He then completed an orthopedic spine fellowship at the Texas Back Institute, where he refined his skills in degenerative spinal conditions in the cervical and lumbar areas. In 2010, Dr. Rainey joined Pittsburgh-based Tri Rivers, where he has built a busy orthopedic surgery practice that focuses on back and neck surgery. He is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, American Osteopathic Association – Spine Division, AO North America – Spine, North American Spine Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society and the Allegheny County Medical Society.
