Eric A. Chen, MD

About the Provider

Eric A. Chen, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with Tri Rivers Musculoskeletal Centers and sees patients in its Cranberry/Mars and North Hills offices. A member of Tri Rivers’ Hip and Knee Reconstruction team, he also serves as the director of Anterior Hip Surgery at UPMC Passavant. Dr. Chen received his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital. In 2021, Dr. Chen joined Pittsburgh-based Tri Rivers, where his practice focuses on partial and total knee replacements, hip replacements, which include the anterior approach, complex revision work for joint replacements, and general orthopedics. Dr. Chen is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, the Pennsylvania Medical Society and Allegheny County Medical Society.
