Research and Scholarly Activity

Residents are required to complete two scholarly activities during residency. At least one of these should be a quality improvement project. Often residents will choose a Research project for their second scholarly activity.

Continuity of Care

Clinic

Residents are assigned a panel of continuity of care, outpatient Family Medicine patients.

PGY 1: ½ day of clinic per week

PGY 2: 1 ½ days of clinic per week

PGY 3: 2 days of clinic per week

OB

Residents are assigned continuity of care obstetrics patients during their residency. They attend prenatal appointments and births, following their patient throughout their pregnancy.

Longitudinal Care

Residents are assigned longitudinal patients throughout their residency. They see these patients while on their Care of the Older adult rotation, as well as other settings. This can include nursing home visits and in-home visits.
