
Matthew Schnur is a distinguished healthcare professional with deep roots in the Butler community. Upon obtaining his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Duquesne University, Matthew completed a postgraduate pharmacy practice residency at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, VA. His initial focus at Butler Memorial Hospital was on enhancing clinical pharmacy services, where he routinely collaborated to develop protocols & led various initiatives to improve medication therapy management among inpatients, with a specific interest in the critically ill.
Offering more than 10 years of experience in healthcare leadership, his dedication & expertise led him to advance through various roles in clinical pharmacy, ultimately becoming the Director of Pharmacy. Most recently, Matthew had taken on the role of Vice President of Ancillary Services, where he oversaw a wide range of critical support functions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency, including Laboratory & Imaging Services.
In addition to his professional achievements, Matthew is committed to continuous learning & leadership development and has actively participated in various programs that have equipped him with the skills to navigate the complexities of healthcare management. His passion for education is evident through his involvement in teaching roles, where he has mentored aspiring pharmacists & healthcare professionals. Furthermore, Matthew has contributed to the governance of several organizations, demonstrating his dedication to advancing the field of pharmacy & healthcare.
